Interview of Madhur Bhandarkar by Sudhir Gadgil

Mr.Madhur Bhandarkar was interviewed by .Mr. Sudhir Gadgil. This was Madhur's first ever live interview on stage. Madhur has a very shy on stage personality. But Mr.Sudhir Gadgil made this interview more of a conversation and slowly Madhur opened up to the public. Talked about his days when he struggled to get any work. Told us how he used to deliver video cassets to all the big Bollywood stars and gave a special comment about Mithun-Da. He said that Mithun-Da was the only star who use to pay him on time. He also recollected the days when worked as an apprentice with Ram Gopal Verma ans slowly made a progression to becoming his associate director for the movie "Rangeela". Not having gone thru any formal training for being a film maker, he still encouraged young and upcoming talent to try and get training. But he also reminded that "experience is the best teacher". I had an opportunity to meet this film maker who has made two National award winning movies and I was pleasantly surprised to have a very casual conversation with him. Madhur has some upcoming projects lined up but would not talk much about it. He has always experimented with new subjects and said he would like to surprise his fans and audiences worldwide with his new ventures.
