Award for Jayshree T

Well-known film actor-dancer Jayshree T is the recipient of the Maharashtra State Award for her four decade-long contribution to films. The function was held in Nagpur recently.  with Ashok Chavan, Minister for Cultural Affairs, gracing the occasion.
 Jayshree T was awarded a trophy and cash prize of Rs 51,000.
In her speech she said , “ I am tea totler but in films I   had wine glass but today I have got  award nasha  so muze duniya walo sharabi na samazo , mai piti nahi yeh award ka nasha hai. mere pair nashese zoom rahe hai,ladakhada rahe hai,”
 At the end she said , “ mai aayi  mai saj gayi, khush ho gayi, award dekhakar nasheme hun. muze maaf karna mai chali.”.  

Riteish Deshmukh  is in Negative Role ?          

Riteish Deshmukh has proved that he is a highly talented actor.He has a couple of interesting projects lined up. Riteish has just signed a film which will be produced by Chaitanya Shantaram (grandson of late filmmaker and actor V.Shantaram’s). The film will be directed by E. Niwas. According to Chaitanya, the film is not yet itled but the interesting part is that Riteish will be seen negative role. Chaitanya is also planning to sign Anil Kapoor to play a suave executive in the film.

Amrita Subhash  beginning a new inning as a Singer
The well known actress Amrita Subhash will soon be begining a new inning as a singer.Her debut album, "Jaata Jaata Paawasane" Singing is not new to Amrtia. .She got her acting break when she was still learning singing. Singing took backseat due to her successful acting career. But now she has decided to take singing seriously and has already begun the learning from Varsha Bhave. Amrita said that she has tried to capture the various moods of the rain, from being mischievous to romantic, in her debut album.

Bakula Namdev Ghotale

After the mega success of their first Marathi film ‘Majha Navra Tujhi Baiko’, which was the Highest Grosser Film in Marathi Cinema in 2006, Shemaroo Entertainment is ready to release their second Marathi blockbuster titled ‘Bakula Namdev Ghotale’.
This film is once again directed by none other than Kedar Shinde – the Numero Uno director of Marathi Cinema. Kedar Shinde has to his credits movies like ‘Aaga Bai Aare Cha’, ‘Jatra’ and ‘Majha Navra Tujhi Baiko’ among others. Devdutt Sabre is the Music Director for ‘Bakula Namdev Ghotale’.
The movie stars Bharat Jadhav, Siddharth Vijay Chauhan ‘Bakula Namdev Ghotale’ has 2 item songs traditionally called ‘Lavani’ in the Marathi Cinema.

Nishikant Kamat in Bollywood
Director Nishikant Kamat is making his debut in Bollywood with his movie titled “Mumbai Meri Jaan” Nishikant has made a name for himself with Dombivali Fast, a Marathi flick with record breaking achievements.
According to him, unlike his last movie "this film will have one or two songs and will feature R Madhavan, K. K Menon, Irfan Khan, Paresh Rawal, Soha Ali Khan and some Marathi actors as the cast. The Director, who has previously worked in the Marathi and Tamil industry, has no anxiety about this new territory he is treading saying, "Only language changes and not filmmaking"
Dombivali Fast starred Marathi actor Sandip Kulkarni. Nishikant remade the movie in Tamil, shooting in Chennai, with R.Madhavan in the lead.

Adla-Badli 40% complete

Producer- Director Junior Mehmood’s Marathi film “ Adla Badli”  is now 40 % complete. Choreographer Madhav kishan  picturised a song on actor Sachin, actress Teja Deokar and 20 dancers in a 4 days shooting schedule.the film also stars Ashok Saraf, Anand Abhyankar, and Viju Khote. screenplay –dialogue by Hemant Aidlabadkar.music by Amar Haldipur and lyrics by Pravin Davne.

‘SASU NAMBARI JAVAI DASNAMBARI’ - First Shedule Completed

First shedule of Sarla Chitra’s ‘Sasu Nambari Javai Dasnambari’ completed recently. This film is produced by Harish Patil and Directed by Vijay Patkar.
The Story-Sceenplay-Dialogue of the film is written by Hemant Edlabadkar &  Lyrics written by Shrirang Godbole. Music Director is  Bal Naik .
Nirmiti Sawant, Makarand Anaspure, Pradnya Jadhav, Gauri Kendre, Shobha Shiralkar, Jayraj Nair, Jayant Bhalekar, Vaibhav Mangle is main cast of the film .

EVDHASA AABHAL’ - Post Production Starts
The shooting of Marathi Film ‘Evdhasa Aabhal’ has completed and post production started recently. ‘Opticus Films’ the film is Produced & Directed by  Bipin Nadkarni.
The screenplay of the film is written by Bipin Nadkarni & Dialouge by Kaustubh Savarkar. Lyrics by Rakesh J. & Music given by Amartya Raut, Edited by Jayant Jathar.
CAST: Harsh Chhaya, Pratiksha Lonkar, Ashok Shinde, Suhita Thatte, Megha Jambotkar, Vidya Patvardhan, Madhav Vaze, Sunita Sengupta & Hritvik Nadkarni.

‘JABARDAST’ - First Schedule Completed

First schedule of ‘S.J.Films’s ‘Jabardast’ is completed recently at Kolhapur. It is Produced by Suhas Jog & director by Mahesh Kothare. So it is a typical Mahesh Kothare style entertainment film, in which you can find action, comedy, parody, emotions. 

The story & screenplay is written by Mahesh Kothare and Shekhar Dhavalikar. Dialogue by Sanjeev Talpade, Music given by Ajay-Atul & Avdhoot Gupte. Camera by Shyam Chavan.
Cast: Sanjay Narvekar, Pushkar Jog ( wonder boy of film “Raju”)  & others.
The producer plans to release this movie in May.

NANA MAMA’- Released One More Comedy 

Today there is a trend of comedy films, especially in Marathi film Industry. Eight out of ten producers want to make a comedy film. I can’t find a reason for this trend.

One more comedy film “Nana-Mama” staring Bharat Jadhav, Makrand Anaspure, Vijay Chavan, Kuldeep Pawar, Deepak Shirke, Rasika Joshi, & Satish Tare, was recently released in Western Maharashtra, Marathwada & Mumbai.
